All parks are now open in the Village of Bourbonnais. With it brings some unwanted attention.
“We’ve had several instances of graffiti in our parks on equipment,” Village of Bourbonnais Trustee Randy King announced during his Public Works Committee report Monday night. It’s not the first time this summer the Village has had issues with graffiti. Just two weeks ago, houses, signs, and cars were tagged in Bourbonnais.
“Please remind residents if they see any graffiti to contact public works at 815-937-0817. In addition, if you see anyone spray painting equipment, please contact the Bourbonnais Police Department to file a report.” King added.
The Village also announced Monday porter potties have been added to various parks.
Residents may want to use caution before using them with scientists across the globe putting pressure on the WHO and CDC to formally announce COVID-19 is airborne. One recent study released in March cited porter potties as a prime example of a poorly ventilated area that can aid in spreading the disease.
