KANKAKEE — Riverside Family Pharmacy’s closure was made official by Riverside Healthcare over the weekend. The hospital announced the decision in a Facebook post Saturday:
“As healthcare and the needs of our community change, we have made the difficult decision to close the Riverside Family Pharmacy, effective December 31st 2020.” The Hospital said in a statement.
The independent pharmacy had served the community for over a decade.
The last day for prescription transfers will be New Years Eve. Residents can still use the Pharmacy until 3 pm that day.
