WESTMONT, IL – A vehicle rollover on the train tracks at Westmont Metra Station resulted in one person being trapped inside late Friday.
According to reports emergency response teams sprang into action to extract the individual from the wreckage though the vehicle’s roof around 11:30 p.m.
The cause of the rollover remains unknown, leaving authorities to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident. However, witnesses reported seeing the vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed towards the station before hitting a curb, resulting in the wreck.
Train services were temporarily disrupted as a result of the incident. Updates on the condition of the person involved are eagerly awaited.
