KANKAKEE COUNTY, IL – The Kankakee County Sheriff’s Office recently sprung into action, responding to a string of residential burglaries and reports of suspicious vehicles in rural areas, specifically in the west of Manteno, Bonfield, and Limestone areas.

In light of these incidents, residents are strongly advised to promptly secure their homes and vehicles. The Sheriff’s Office emphasizes the importance of being vigilant and reporting any suspicious activity, including unfamiliar vehicles driving slowly or parked in unusual locations, by immediately calling 911. Taking proactive measures and staying alert can help ensure the safety of homes and neighborhoods in the community.
