Kankakee Veterans Council Seeks Volunteers to Honor Fallen Heroes

KANKAKEE, IL – The Kankakee Veterans Council is looking for volunteers to help place flags on veterans’ graves at cemeteries in the area. The event will take place on May 25th and 26th at three different locations, including Mount Calvary Cemetery, Mound Grove Cemetery, and Memorial Gardens Rt 17 East.

The volunteers will also be needed on Saturday, May 27th, but the time and location are yet to be announced. Those interested in participating can contact Tom Sovinski at 815-351-3367 for any questions.

The Kankakee Veterans Council seeks to honor the sacrifices of the brave men and women who served our country, and they invite the community to join them in this noble effort.
