Kankakee, IL – The Kankakee Valley Park District is inviting young entrepreneurs to showcase their creativity and business skills at the Biz Kidz Market. This event offers kids ages 8-14 the opportunity to run their own booths, interact with customers, and gain valuable experience in money handling.
According to the Kankakee Valley Park District, the program begins with two preparatory classes. The first class, “Marketing Your Booth,” will be held on Monday, June 3, from 5:30-6:30 PM at the KVPD Rec Center. This session, taught by Marketing Manager Angie Tousignant, will cover marketing strategies and sign creation. The second class, “Handling Your Sales,” will take place on Saturday, June 8, from 10:00-11:00 AM, also at the KVPD Rec Center. In this session, participants will learn about making change and money security from Midland States Bank.
The Biz Kidz Market will culminate in a sale day on Saturday, July 13, from 11:00 AM-2:00 PM at the Civic Auditorium. Registration ends on May 30. For more information, visit Biz Kidz Market.
