BOURBONNAIS, IL – The Kankakee County Humane Foundation is thrilled to announce the return of Paws & Purrs after a 3-year hiatus. The annual event is scheduled for April 29th, 2023, at the Quality Inn Bradley-Bourbonnais, located at 800 N. Kinzie.
Paws & Purrs is an evening of dinner, drinks, and auctions that aim to support the Foundation’s mission to care for animals in need. This year’s event marks the Foundation’s 60th anniversary and is expected to be a grand celebration.
The event will feature both a silent and live auction with plenty of items up for grabs. Attendees can expect to bid on baskets from various local businesses, pet-themed baskets, and a spa/massage package basket. The live auction items will include an autographed baseball by Liam Hendriks, accompanied by tickets to a game and a parking pass, a trip to Las Vegas, and an autographed Gayle Sayers jersey.
Tickets for the event can be purchased via the Foundation’s website, with sales ending the first week of April. Guests will have the option of a plated chicken entree or a vegetarian pasta dish for dinner.
According to the Kankakee County Humane Foundation, all proceeds from the event will go towards supporting the foundation’s mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals in need. The foundation is dedicated to providing shelter, medical attention, and basic needs to animals until they can be placed in their forever homes.
