COVID-19: 942 COVID-19 confirmed in Will County, 35 dead

Will County Health Department officials announced this afternoon 35 lives have been claimed to date by COVID-19.  The County now hosts 942 total confirmed cases, with Joliet leading the way with 190 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Among town case counts in the County, notable numbers include:

  • 190 cases in Joliet
  • 126 cases in Bolingbrook
  • 96 cases in Unincorporated areas
  • 59 cases in Crest Hill
  • 50 cases in Romeoville 
  • 38 cases in Plainfield 
  • 32 cases in Homer Glen
  • 31 cases in Naperville and Frankfort 
  • 30 cases in Lockport
  • 25 cases in University Park
  • 24 cases in Shorewood
  • 20 cases in New Lenox

All other areas in the county currently fall below 20 cases as of April 8th.
