Iroquois County Animal Rescue invites you and your Pit Bull this month to it’s special $25 Spay/Neuter event at ICARe. Two dates are available, August 13th and August 27th with dropoff at 7 am at Iroquois County Animal Rescue.

Join the First Bank of Manhattan and First Bank of New Lenox on August 24th for a free Shredding and Food Drive! The event will take place on August 24th at the First Bank of Manhattan and again on September 14th from 9:30am-11:30am. It’s asked you bring a non-perishable food item for donation to local food pantries. All documents will be shredded on site, limit fifteen boxes.

The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) has received reports of six young people experiencing severe breathing problems after vaping, and is investigating five more individuals. These individuals experienced respiratory symptoms including cough, shortness of breath, and fatigue. Some also experienced vomiting and diarrhea. Symptoms worsened over a period of days or weeks before admission to the hospital.
