Taking another step to build an Illinois where both businesses and working families can thrive, Governor JB Pritzker joined legislators, business leaders, labor leaders, trade groups and existing data center businesses to promote Illinois’ new tax incentive for data center construction.
“Often people inherit farms or have some old containers of pesticides on their property and don’t quite know what to do with them. That’s why we started the ‘Clean Sweep’ program in 1990,” said Doug Owens, IDOA Environmental Programs Bureau Chief. “It’s a great way to ensure the proper disposal of these pesticides and protects the environment of the state of Illinois.”

Kankakee, IL – The City of Kankakee has sworn in three, new firefighters this week who have started with the Kankakee Fire Department. “We are excited to have new employees because we have not hired for quite some time. Two of these new employees are new hires for recent retiring personnel,” said Fire Chief Damon Schuldt.
Chicago - Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) is hosting a Community Care Fair on Saturday, October 5th, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.at the Kankakee Public Library, 201 E. Merchant Street. The fair is free and open to everyone.
