City of Kankakee is Seeking Donations for National Animal Shelter Week

“Animals play an important role in our families and we want to make sure that we do not neglect their needs, especially during this giving season. Many of our City employees are very passionate about the needs of animals and during National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week, we look forward to helping out in any way we can,” said Mayor Wells-Armstrong.

With more than 140 health insurance plans available this year, consumers can choose from among three different “metal” levels that represent a range of coverage and costs: Gold, Silver, and Bronze. Consumers who were already enrolled in a marketplace plan last year, will be automatically enrolled into the same plan or a similar one offered by the same insurer for the upcoming 2020 plan year.

Kankakee Public Library & Fortitude November Donation Drive

Each month, the Kankakee Public Library will ask for a donation that targets specific items to help others within the community. November’s items are deodorant and quality adult sized gloves. Donations can be deposited in the designated blue bin inside the doors of the Kankakee Public Library.
