Manteno is gearing up for the annual “Heroes, Hogs, & Hot Rods” festival, scheduled for Saturday, June 1, from 12 PM to 9 PM. This community event, hosted by Project Headspace and Timing, will take place in downtown Manteno, specifically along Main Street and the Square on 2nd. The festival promises a day filled with music, muscle, and mindfulness, celebrating local heroes and bringing the community together.
Festival-goers can look forward to a variety of activities, including a bean bag tournament, an Air Force simulator, and a car, bike, truck, and golf cart show. Additionally, there will be a strongman competition, offering a spectacle of strength and endurance. For those interested in food and entertainment, the event will feature live music, a BBQ competition, food trucks, and craft vendors.
According to Project Headspace and Timing, all proceeds from the festival will support their mental health initiatives, aimed at providing resources and support for those in need. Entry to the festival is free, but a $5 wristband is required for outdoor bar service. This wristband can be purchased on the day of the event.
Families and individuals of all ages are encouraged to attend this fun-filled event, which also includes a mental health community resource fair, offering valuable information and support. More details can be found at projectheadspaceandtiming.org.
