Florence Sheriff Arrests Third Suspect in Duke Energy Theft

Florence, SC – The Florence County Sheriff's Office announced on September 3, 2026, that a third suspect has been apprehended in connection with a burglary and grand larceny case involving a local utility provider.

According to the Florence County Sheriff's Office, Brian Alexander Player was taken into custody for his alleged role in the theft of equipment and materials from a Duke Energy property located in Florence, SC. This arrest follows previous law enforcement actions taken against two other suspects, Charles Leroy McGee and Richard Earl Jackson, who were also linked to the same investigation.
