Delaware Man Named High Busted for Marijuana Transport on Interstate 40 in Arkansas

Lonoke, AR – Arkansas State Police conducted a traffic stop Sunday afternoon on Interstate 40 Eastbound, uncovering a substantial cache of illegal marijuana and weapons.

According to the Arkansas Department of Public Safety, troopers stopped a 2023 Mercedes Sprinter van near mile marker 164 around 12:19 p.m. During the search, officers reportedly found 120 vacuum-sealed bags of marijuana, a handgun, multiple magazines, and ammunition.

The driver, Brian High, 55, from Townsend, Delaware, was arrested and taken to the Lonoke County Detention Center. He faces alleged felony charges including drug and firearm possession, intent to deliver a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. High reportedly told investigators he was traveling from Mesa, Arizona.
