Fort Worth, TX – An extreme cold warning remains in effect for North and Central Texas through Thursday morning, with wind chills dropping as low as -10°F. Residents should take precautions against frostbite, which can occur within 30 minutes on exposed skin.
According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will remain below freezing Wednesday night, with a low of 13°F and wind chills between 2°F and 7°F. Winds could gust up to 20 mph, making outdoor conditions hazardous. Thursday will be sunny but cold, with a high of 32°F and wind chills ranging from 2°F to 12°F.
A warming trend begins Friday, with highs climbing to 38°F under mostly cloudy skies. By Saturday, temperatures will reach 50°F, with a slight chance of rain. Sunday will bring a spring preview, with highs near 65°F, followed by even warmer temperatures next week.
Residents are urged to bundle up, limit outdoor exposure, and check on vulnerable individuals. Pets should be kept indoors, and outdoor animals provided with adequate shelter.
