Washington and Oregon Winter Storm Warning: Up to 24 Inches of Snow Expected Through 4 PM Monday

Pendleton, OR – A significant winter storm is set to bring heavy snowfall and freezing rain to parts of Washington and Oregon through 4 p.m. Monday, creating hazardous travel conditions in mountainous regions.

According to the National Weather Service, the Upper Slopes of the Eastern Washington Cascades, including Easton and Roslyn, are expected to receive between 8 and 18 inches of snow, with the heaviest snowfall occurring Saturday night through Sunday morning.

The Northern Blue Mountains of Oregon and Northwest Blue Mountains of Washington, including Meacham, Tollgate, and Ski Bluewood Resort, could see 12 to 24 inches of snow above 4,500 feet, with 4 to 8 inches possible along I-84 near Meacham. In Oregon’s Cascades, including La Pine, Sunriver, and Sisters, 7 to 18 inches of snow and light freezing rain are expected above 4,000 feet, with up to one-tenth of an inch of ice in sheltered valleys.
