Green Bay, WI – A winter weather advisory remains in effect across much of central, eastern, and northern Wisconsin, with snowfall expected to impact travel through Saturday morning.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Green Bay, snow will begin late Friday afternoon and continue overnight, accumulating between 4 and 6 inches across affected regions. The advisory is set to expire at 6 a.m. Saturday for Marathon, Portage, Waushara, Wood, Lincoln, Oneida, and Vilas counties, while eastern areas—including Green Bay, Appleton, Oshkosh, and Door County—will see the advisory last until 9 a.m.
Officials warn that road conditions may become hazardous, especially during the Friday evening commute and early Saturday travel. Areas along the Lake Michigan shoreline, including Manitowoc and Kewaunee counties, could see heavier snowfall at times.
Drivers are urged to use caution, reduce speeds, and check Wisconsin road conditions by dialing 511 or visiting 511wi.gov.
Snow is expected to taper off Saturday morning, with colder temperatures persisting through the weekend.
