Boston, MA – A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for southern New England from 7 AM to 7 PM EST Thursday, with snow, sleet, and freezing rain expected.
According to the National Weather Service in Boston, snowfall totals of 1 to 4 inchesare expected across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and northern Connecticut, with a light glaze of ice possible.
Snow will begin between 7 AM and 11 AM, transitioning to a mix of sleet and freezing rain by late morning or early afternoon. Areas northwest of I-95 may remain below freezing through the evening commute, increasing the risk of slick roads and travel delays.
