Boston, MA – A winter weather advisory has been issued for parts of Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, with snowfall expected to impact travel overnight into Monday morning.

According to the National Weather Service, the advisory is in effect from 7 p.m. Sunday until 7 a.m. Monday. Forecasters expect between 2 and 4 inches of snow, with some higher accumulations possible in the Berkshires.

Snow will develop west to east between 7 and 9 p.m., potentially becoming heavy at times before tapering off between 2 and 4 a.m. The hazardous conditions could make for a slippery Monday morning commute, especially in areas like Hartford, Worcester, and Springfield.

Residents are advised to slow down and use caution while traveling. Road crews are expected to treat major highways, but untreated surfaces may become slick. Those heading out early should allow extra travel time and check for updates on road conditions.
