Putnam County, IN – Traffic on Interstate 70 in Putnam County is experiencing significant delays due to two separate crashes, prompting lane closures, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT).

INDOT reported that the right eastbound lane between State Road 59 and State Road 243 is closed between the 22- and 37-mile markers. Additionally, the left westbound lane is shut down between State Road 243 and County Road 500 W, located about three miles west of Cloverdale.

Motorists are urged to exercise caution while traveling in the area, as road conditions are slick. Officials recommend reducing speeds and remaining vigilant to ensure safety.
