Pittsburgh, PA – A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon Thursday for portions of Pennsylvania and northern West Virginia. Residents should prepare for snow, gusty winds, and frigid temperatures.

The National Weather Service forecasts 3 to 6 inches of snow, with the heaviest accumulations in higher elevations such as Fayette, Preston, and Tucker counties. Gusts up to 40 mph could lead to blowing snow, reducing visibility and creating hazardous road conditions.

According to the NWS, wind chills may drop to -10°F on Wednesday and Thursday mornings, increasing the risk of hypothermia. Officials advise limiting outdoor exposure and using caution while traveling. Slippery roads are expected to affect Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes.

Snow or ice accumulations can be reported to the National Weather Service by calling 412-262-1988, posting on Facebook, or tagging @NWSPittsburgh on Twitter.
