Melbourne, FL – A dense fog advisory remains in effect through 9 a.m. Tuesday, reducing visibility to a half mile or less. Drivers on I-95 and surrounding roads are urged to slow down, use low-beam headlights, and maintain safe distances between vehicles.

According to the National Weather Service, the foggy conditions will clear by late morning, giving way to sunny skies and highs near 81°F. Winds will remain light, at 5 to 10 mph, offering a pleasant afternoon for outdoor activities. However, areas north of Orlando may see isolated showers with a 20% chance of rain.

Looking ahead to New Year’s Day, Wednesday will bring mostly sunny skies and a high near 70°F, with cooler temperatures overnight dipping to around 54°F. The mild and dry conditions are expected to persist through the week, with highs ranging from 70°F to 85°F and mostly clear nights.

Beachgoers are advised to exercise caution due to a moderate risk of rip currents along Florida’s eastern coastline. If venturing out, always swim near lifeguards and stay aware of conditions.

This week’s weather forecast highlights excellent conditions for outdoor festivities, including New Year’s celebrations. Residents should take advantage of the warm afternoons while remaining vigilant during early-morning fog.
