East St. Louis, IL – A reported expressway shooting on Illinois Route 3 shut down northbound lanes this morning, leaving one victim injured.

According to the Illinois State Police (ISP), the incident occurred just south of Interstate 55/64 around 9:15 a.m. Authorities were notified of the shooting and responded to the scene. The injured victim was transported to a nearby hospital. Their condition has not yet been released.
