Corpus Christi, TX – Residents and beachgoers in South Texas can expect well-above-normal temperatures through Monday, paired with moderate rip current risks along the Middle Texas Coast. Partly cloudy skies will accompany highs reaching the mid-to-upper 70s, offering warm and pleasant weather for the start of the week.

According to the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi, the moderate rip current risk has been extended through Sunday night. Swimmers are urged to use extreme caution near piers and jetties, as currents can be dangerous, especially for inexperienced swimmers. Wave heights are expected to range between 2 to 4 feet, while water temperatures remain mild in the 60s.

Looking ahead, Monday’s forecast calls for mostly sunny conditions with a high near 77°F. Winds will continue from the south-southeast at 10 to 15 mph, bringing occasional gusts up to 18 mph. Overnight temperatures will remain mild, dipping to a low of 65°F under partly cloudy skies.

By midweek, a slight chance of showers may develop, particularly on Wednesday, when highs are forecasted to reach the mid-70s. A noticeable cooldown will arrive by Thursday, with daytime highs expected to fall to around 61°F and breezy north winds gusting up to 20 mph.

For residents heading to the beaches or coastal areas, officials recommend staying aware of rip current warnings and wave conditions. Avoid swimming in areas with strong currents, and if caught in one, swim parallel to the shore to escape.
