Wilmington, OH – A sunny and mild Saturday is setting the stage for warmer weather this weekend, but a midweek return of snow looms for the Ohio Valley. Saturday’s high will reach 41 degrees, with clear skies expected into tonight.

According to the National Weather Service, Sunday will see temperatures climb to 50 degrees. Dry conditions will persist through most of the day before rain moves in after midnight. Overnight rain may impact early Monday commutes along I-71 and surrounding areas, with rainfall expected to total up to half an inch.

Rain will continue Monday morning, accompanied by gusty winds of up to 14 mph. Temperatures are forecast to peak at 54 degrees Monday afternoon, offering a brief reprieve from winter-like conditions. However, colder air returns Tuesday night, setting the stage for a potential rain-and-snow mix late Tuesday into Wednesday.

Snow chances increase Wednesday, with high temperatures struggling to reach the low 30s. Travel could be hazardous along major roadways, including I-71 and U.S. Route 68, as snow accumulations may affect visibility and road conditions.

Residents are encouraged to monitor weather updates, particularly for Tuesday and Wednesday. Prepare vehicles for winter weather and allow extra time for commutes as conditions worsen midweek.

Stay tuned for additional weather alerts and updates as the week progresses.
