Pueblo, CO – A storm system is set to bring early morning rain and afternoon snow to parts of Colorado today, especially near the eastern plains and along mountain corridors. Travelers on Interstate 25 and roads near the Continental Divide should prepare for isolated snow showers overnight, while residents in Pueblo can expect cooler temperatures throughout the day.

According to the National Weather Service in Pueblo, light rain is forecast for portions of the far eastern plains early Monday, transitioning to isolated mountain snow by the afternoon. Highs today will reach around 58 degrees, with mostly sunny skies expected. Tonight, lows will dip to 25 degrees under clear skies, accompanied by west-northwest winds at 5 to 10 mph.

Looking ahead, Tuesday will be significantly cooler, with a high near 42 degrees and continued clear skies. Winds will remain steady at 5 to 15 mph, adding a brisk chill to the day. By midweek, Wednesday brings slightly warmer conditions, with highs near 48 degrees, followed by a warming trend that peaks at 62 degrees on Friday.

Motorists and outdoor enthusiasts should exercise caution as roads could become slick in higher elevations tonight and early Tuesday. Layers and warm clothing are recommended as nighttime lows hover in the mid-20s to low 30s through the week.

The extended forecast shows a return to sunny skies and milder weather starting Thursday. This is an ideal time for weekend plans, as temperatures are expected to stabilize in the 60s through Sunday.
