Orlando, FL – Central Florida residents should prepare for hazardous coastal conditions and monitor updates on Tropical Depression Nineteen, which could impact the region’s weather this weekend. The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory through Saturday evening, warning of potential flooding and dangerous rip currents along the east-central Florida coast. Those planning to visit the beach are advised to avoid entering the water as high-risk rip currents make surf conditions perilous.
According to the National Weather Service, high tide cycles are expected to peak each morning through the weekend, elevating water levels by about two feet above normal. With east-southeast winds between 10 and 15 mph, gusting up to 25 mph, these conditions could lead to minor to moderate coastal flooding. Beachgoers should exercise caution, as strong currents and high surf can pose serious risks even for experienced swimmers. Additionally, a Small Craft Advisory remains in effect across all east-central Florida Atlantic waters, urging boaters to heed caution.
Tropical Depression Nineteen, located in the western Caribbean, is forecast to strengthen and become more organized as it moves into the Gulf of Mexico. Although its exact path remains uncertain, officials encourage residents to stay informed about potential impacts next week. Continuous updates are available through the National Weather Service and the National Hurricane Center.
Central Florida can expect mostly sunny conditions over the weekend, with daytime highs in the low 80s and cooler evenings. By Friday, skies will be clear with temperatures around 76 degrees, dropping to a low of 59 Friday night. The forecast continues to look sunny and clear through Monday, with highs reaching up to 82 by early next week.
