Charleston, WV – Warm and dry conditions will dominate the workweek across West Virginia, with highs reaching the low 80s by midweek before cooling down later. A cold front passing through on Friday may bring light showers, but no significant rain is expected.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), Charleston will see a high of 76 degrees today under sunny skies, with calm winds. The warming trend continues Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs nearing 81 and 79 degrees, respectively. However, a drop in temperatures is expected by Thursday as a second cold front pushes through, bringing a high of 64 degrees.

The NWS forecasts a 30% chance of showers late Friday night into Saturday morning, mainly in the higher elevations. Rainfall totals are expected to be light, with no major storms anticipated. Lowland areas should prepare for highs in the mid-70s through the weekend, while mountain regions may see temperatures dip into the upper 50s and low 60s.

Residents are advised to enjoy the pleasant fall weather early in the week, but be ready for cooler air and a slight chance of rain by the weekend.
