Springfield, MO – Southwest Missouri will experience scattered light showers Monday evening into Tuesday, with minimal rainfall expected. Despite the rain, the ongoing drought conditions will see little relief, as most areas are expected to receive less than a tenth of an inch of precipitation.
The National Weather Service forecasts today’s high will reach 78 degrees with sunny skies. Monday will see increasing cloud cover as rain chances develop late in the evening. Winds will remain light, but gusts may pick up slightly as the system moves in. Overnight lows will fall to around 54 degrees, with a 30% chance of showers after 1 a.m.
By Tuesday, the rain will clear, and sunny skies will return, with highs near 84 degrees. Warm and dry conditions will persist through Wednesday, with highs in the low 80s. A cooling trend will start Thursday, with highs dropping to the low 70s.
