Phoenix, AZ – The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for parts of western Arizona and southeastern California, including areas within Joshua Tree National Park, Parker Valley, and the Palo Verde Valley. The advisory will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, with expected northwest winds ranging from 20 to 30 mph, and gusts reaching up to 45 mph.
Travelers in the region should be prepared for difficult driving conditions, particularly for larger vehicles, as crosswinds are likely to be strong. Light, unsecured objects may also become airborne, potentially causing hazards. Additionally, desert winds could lead to reduced visibility due to blowing dust and sand.
Residents and visitors should exercise caution and be prepared for sudden wind gusts.
