According to the U.S. National Weather Service Omaha/Valley Nebraska, frost or freezing conditions are anticipated each morning from Monday to Wednesday. On Tuesday, temperatures could fall to as low as 31°F, which poses a risk to outdoor plants and vegetation. Residents are advised to cover plants and take precautions to protect outdoor pipes and sensitive items from frost damage.
Sunday will see a high of 65°F under sunny skies, but the real temperature drop begins overnight as lows dip to the 40s. Monday morning will feel even cooler, with a high of just 58°F and low temperatures hovering near freezing by Tuesday morning. Travelers along I-80 and throughout the Omaha area should be aware of potentially icy road conditions, especially in the early morning hours.
Wednesday may provide some relief as highs rise into the 60s once again, though temperatures are expected to remain chilly in the mornings. Those commuting or participating in outdoor activities early in the day should dress warmly and stay alert to frost warnings.
