Kenosha, WI — A staff member at Riverview Elementary School in Kenosha was arrested on October 9 after allegations of sexual misconduct involving a current and former student.

According to the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department, a 33-year-old female staff member is under investigation by the Sensitive Crimes Unit. The misconduct, though serious, did not occur on school property or during school hours, authorities confirmed.

The staff member was taken into custody and is currently being held at the Kenosha County Jail. Investigators believe more charges may follow as the case unfolds. The sheriff’s department continues to work with the school district, which is cooperating fully.
