Normal, IL – Illinois State University Police have closed an investigation into an August 24 assault near the Bone Student Center. The victim alleged the attackers used homophobic slurs, leading police to open a hate crime investigation.
According to ISUPD, detectives conducted eight interviews, reviewed campus surveillance, and canvassed nearby businesses. Despite these efforts, no suspects matching the victim’s description were found.
