Indiana: 8-Year-Old Killed in Farming Accident After Being Ran Over

Rockville, IN – A tragic farming accident claimed the life of an 8-year-old boy in Parke County. Deputies responded to a residence on 1000 E around 3:40 p.m. Friday. The child fell from a front loader while it was moving and was fatally injured after being run over.

According to the Parke County Sheriff’s Office, emergency personnel rushed to the scene. Parke County EMS, Bellmore First Responders, and Life Line provided assistance. Despite their efforts, the child succumbed to his injuries. The Parke County Coroner’s Office was also on-site to assist with the investigation.

Sheriff Jason Frazier expressed condolences on behalf of the department. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this heartbreaking time,” he said. Authorities have not released the name of the boy.

Investigators are examining how the accident occurred, and no additional information has been provided.
