Lisle, IL – A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday afternoon in a collision with an SUV at the intersection of Yackey Avenue and Burlington Avenue. The crash occurred around 1:46 p.m., prompting a swift response from Lisle Police and emergency services.
According to police, the motorcyclist was traveling southbound on Yackey Avenue at a high rate of speed when the SUV made a left turn onto westbound Burlington Avenue, resulting in the collision. Emergency medical personnel pronounced the motorcyclist deceased at the scene, while the SUV’s driver was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove for observation.
The Lisle Police Department, with assistance from the DuPage MERIT Major Crash Reconstruction Team and the DuPage County Coroner, is conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident. The motorcyclist’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
