Kane County, IL – Several key roads in Kane County will be temporarily closed over the next two weeks due to scheduled railroad crossing maintenance. The Kane County Sheriff’s Office has issued a traffic alert, urging residents to seek alternative routes during these closures.
Starting Monday, August 19, Francis Road will be closed from 7 a.m. until Wednesday, August 21 at 7 a.m. Meredith Road will follow on Tuesday, August 20, closing at 7 a.m. and reopening on Thursday, August 22 at 7 a.m. Howard Road will be closed from Wednesday, August 21 at 7 a.m. to Friday, August 23 at 7 a.m.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, additional closures include Liberty Street from Thursday, August 22 to Saturday, August 24, Pleasant Street from Monday, August 26 to Wednesday, August 28, and Pritchard Road from Wednesday, August 28 to Friday, August 30. The last closure, scheduled for Airport Road, will begin Thursday, August 29 at 7 a.m. and end Saturday, August 31 at 7 a.m.
