Southeast Michigan to Experience Cooler Weather, Scattered Thunderstorms Early in the Week

Detroit, MI – Southeast Michigan residents can expect a week of fluctuating weather, with cooler temperatures and scattered thunderstorms dominating the forecast. Today’s high will range between 71 and 76 degrees, with showers increasing in coverage by the afternoon. Some areas may also experience isolated thunderstorms, particularly during the late afternoon and evening.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) Detroit/Pontiac, the rain will taper off overnight, leading into a cooler and breezy Monday. Highs on Monday are expected to range from 69 to 74 degrees, with the Thumb region seeing the most significant breezes.

The cooler trend continues into Tuesday, with temperatures dipping to 68-72 degrees under sunnier skies. Nighttime lows will be cooler, ranging from 46 to 51 degrees.

By midweek, conditions will stabilize with mostly sunny skies and highs between 72 and 75 degrees. Despite the return of the sun, temperatures will remain below normal for this time of year, with lows ranging from 47 to 52 degrees into Wednesday.
