Twin Cities, MN – After waking up to over an inch of rainfall that soaked the region overnight, Minnesota residents can expect the showers to linger through Thursday before clearing just in time for the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, widespread rain will move east throughout the morning, with scattered showers and storms potentially continuing into the afternoon. Highs today will hover between 72 and 77 degrees. Friday will see a continuation of this rainy pattern, with scattered showers persisting under mostly cloudy skies, and temperatures slightly cooler, ranging from 70 to 75 degrees.

However, the forecast brightens considerably as we head into the weekend. By Saturday, the clouds will begin to clear, leading to sunny conditions and temperatures reaching the upper 70s to low 80s. This sunny trend is expected to continue into Sunday and Monday, with highs in the 80s and overnight lows in the upper 50s to low 60s.

With rain moving out by Friday evening, Minnesotans can look forward to a dry and pleasant weekend—perfect for outdoor activities after a soggy end to the workweek.
