Central Illinois – A shift in weather patterns will bring a variety of conditions to Central Illinois over the next few days. While today may see a few showers and thunderstorms, a drier and warmer pattern is expected for the weekend and early next week.

According to the US National Weather Service Central Illinois, thunderstorms are likely across the region today with temperatures ranging from 81 to 86 degrees. The likelihood of precipitation is between 20-50%, with lows tonight falling between 66 and 70 degrees.

The weekend promises to be significantly drier. On Saturday, expect clear skies with temperatures climbing to 86-90 degrees. Lows will be slightly cooler, between 65-70 degrees. Sunday will see similar conditions, with highs reaching 86-91 degrees and lows ranging from 67-71 degrees.

The dry and warm trend will continue into Monday and Tuesday. Monday’s temperatures will peak between 88 and 92 degrees, with lows from 69-73 degrees. Tuesday will be slightly cooler with highs of 85-95 degrees and lows between 61-68 degrees.
