Central Illinois: Law Enforcement Uncovers $200,000 in Drugs During Raid

Watseka, IL – The Watseka Enforcement Team, K-9 Tucker, in cooperation with the Iroquois County State’s Attorney’s office, executed a search warrant leading to the arrest of a local woman. The operation, conducted on South Brown Street at 5:30 p.m. Monday, involved undercover narcotics purchases targeting “pressed pills” and methamphetamine.

According to the Watseka Police Department, officers recovered approximately 1,200 grams of cannabis, 280 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, and 500 “pressed pills” that tested positive for methamphetamine and fentanyl. Other seized items included 396 Xanax bars, 20 containers of “Dabs,” 22 containers of cannabis edibles, a small amount of cocaine, MDT, 15 grams of ecstasy, and $200 in cash.

Arrested was Kristin A. Kirby, 30, of Watseka. Kirby faces multiple charges including unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of cannabis. Kirby was taken to the Iroquois County jail and released per the Illinois Safe-T Act.
