Indianapolis, IN – A car plowed into the El Paseo Catracho restaurant at Washington Street and Keystone Avenue around noon today, causing significant structural damage to the building.
According to the Indianapolis Fire Department, the driver, a 22-year-old with a learner’s permit, was test-driving a dealership car with a licensed passenger. She reportedly lost control while turning onto Washington from Keystone.
Emergency Medical Services checked and released her at the scene. No patrons were inside the restaurant, and employees were unharmed. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the incident.
