Monticello, IN – State Road 39 in White County will be closed for approximately three weeks starting on or after June 3, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT). The closure, between C.R. 775 N and C.R. 700 N, is necessary for a pipe liner project.

INDOT states the official detour will follow State Road 16, U.S. 35, and U.S. 24. The start date for this project depends on the reopening of State Road 16 between C.R. 1050 W and C.R. 900 W, which is expected to occur around Tuesday, May 28. Motorists are advised to plan for additional travel time and follow posted detour routes.
