Indianapolis, IN – Residents in Indianapolis and surrounding areas are bracing for a wet and windy end to the week. 

According to the National Weather Service, up to two inches of rainfall has drenched the region within the last 24 hours, and forecasts predict an additional quarter to one inch possible through tonight. With localized flooding already a concern in some areas, citizens are urged to remain vigilant as conditions could worsen. 

Strong isolated storms, potentially bringing gusty winds and small hail, are forecasted for far eastern central Indiana this afternoon. Wind gusts are anticipated to peak near 40 MPH at times through Friday, presenting possible hazards for commuters and residents alike. The public is advised to follow updates and take necessary precautions during this time.
