Normal, IL – Three unregistered students may face criminal charges following a bizarre “prank” at Illinois State University on Monday. 

According to Illinois State University, police the individuals disrupted a class while wearing masks, recording without permission, and hindering the learning process. The incident, which took place on February 5, 2024, led to the intervention of the University Police, who swiftly identified and confronted the students. 

Admitting their actions were a prank aimed at a fellow student, they now face potential legal repercussions and referrals to Student Conduct. The university emphasizes its dedication to maintaining a safe and conducive learning environment.
