St. John, IN – The St. John Police Department has issued a warning to residents about fraudulent phone calls claiming to be from the “St. John Police Charities.” 

According to the department, these calls, originating from an area code of (925), are a scam with no affiliation to the St. John Police Department or the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP). The police urge residents to ignore such calls, refrain from sharing any personal or banking information, and to disconnect immediately. They also encourage the community to spread the word about this scam to prevent potential victimization. 

This alert serves as a reminder for residents to stay vigilant against phone scams and to verify the legitimacy of any organization seeking donations.
