Authorities said three children were present at the home and were later safely located and interviewed with their mother.
Investigators identified the suspect as Tomas Hernandez Garcia, 34, of Guatemala, who allegedly fled the scene but was later located and taken into custody. Hernandez Garcia was charged with domestic assault impeding air flow and injury, a Class D felony, as well as child endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor. He was transported to the Fayette County Jail and awaited an initial appearance.
