California – A cool, gray start hangs over Los Angeles this afternoon, with damp pavement and patchy clouds signaling a brief break from the usual sunshine.

According to the National Weather Service, a slight 20 percent chance of showers lingers into the late morning and early afternoon, with highs near 68°F and light southwest winds increasing to 10 mph. Conditions gradually improve later today as clouds begin to thin.

Across Los Angeles, Pasadena, and along I-5 and US-101, drivers may notice slick spots early, especially on shaded roads. While rainfall remains light, it’s enough to slow traffic during peak travel hours. Plan a few extra minutes if heading out.

By Tuesday, sunshine takes control with highs climbing into the low 70s. Clear skies and calm winds create ideal outdoor conditions across Southern California. That warming trend continues into Wednesday, with temperatures reaching the low to mid-70s inland.

The pattern stays quiet through Thursday with mostly sunny skies and mild evenings. By Friday, highs approach the mid-70s, and some inland spots could push even warmer, offering an early “summer vibe” across the region.

Looking ahead, the weekend brings continued warmth with highs nearing 80°F by Saturday, especially away from the coast. No significant rain is expected after today, marking a shift to a more stable spring pattern.

Five Day Outlook for Los Angeles, California
Tuesday: High 72°F, sunny
Wednesday: High 73°F, mostly sunny
Thursday: High 72°F, sunny
Friday: High 76°F, sunny
Saturday: High 80°F, mostly sunny
