Florida – Strong ocean breezes are already sweeping across Miami this afternoon, pushing palm trees and building choppy surf along the coast. Beach conditions are turning hazardous quickly, even as skies stay mostly sunny inland.

According to the National Weather Service, winds from the east are reaching 18 mph with gusts up to 24 mph today, keeping conditions breezy through the evening. A rip current statement remains in effect for Miami-area beaches, increasing the risk for swimmers along the Atlantic shoreline.

Drivers along I-95, the MacArthur Causeway, and A1A should expect crosswinds, especially on bridges and elevated roadways. Use caution when changing lanes and keep both hands on the wheel during stronger gusts.

Through Monday and Tuesday, the pattern stays consistent. Highs hold in the upper 70s to near 79°F with continued breezy conditions. Nights remain warm and humid, only dropping into the low to mid-70s, limiting relief after sunset.

By midweek, winds ease slightly while temperatures climb to around 80°F under mostly sunny skies. Beachgoers should remain cautious, as lingering rip currents can persist even when winds decrease.

This steady spring pattern keeps South Florida warm, breezy, and occasionally hazardous along the coast. More advisories could be issued if surf conditions worsen.

Five Day Outlook for Miami, Florida:
Today: Mostly sunny and breezy, high 78°F
Monday: Mostly sunny and breezy, high 78°F
Tuesday: Partly sunny, high 79°F
Wednesday: Mostly sunny, high 80°F
Thursday: Mostly sunny, high 80°F
