Boston, Massachusetts – Temperatures swing sharply within hours, with mild 60-degree warmth this afternoon giving way to chilly overnight lows that could dip into the upper 20s in outlying areas.

According to the National Weather Service in Boston, sunny and breezy conditions dominate today, pushing highs between 55°F and 62°F across much of Massachusetts, including Boston, Worcester, and Springfield. Gusty winds will make it feel cooler at times, especially along exposed roadways like I-93 and Route 128.

By late evening, skies clear and winds begin to ease, allowing temperatures to fall quickly. Overnight lows will drop into the mid to upper 20s in inland communities, while urban centers like Boston remain in the 30s. Patchy frost is possible outside the city, particularly in low-lying areas.

Sunday brings a shift, with increasing cloud cover and slightly cooler conditions, especially along the coast where onshore flow keeps highs in the upper 40s to low 50s. Inland areas may still reach the mid to upper 50s.

Residents should dress in layers, protect sensitive plants from frost tonight, and prepare for cooler coastal conditions Sunday. Dry weather continues through the weekend, with no major storm systems expected.
