Cleveland, Ohio – Showers moving across northern Ohio today could slow travel through the afternoon, with wet roads and reduced visibility impacting the evening commute before conditions improve tonight.
According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, a cold front is pushing southeast across the region, bringing scattered showers through the day. Rain will gradually exit from northwest to southeast by early evening, with most areas drying out by around 7 p.m.
Cities including Cleveland, Toledo, and Akron will see periods of light rain, with brief heavier pockets possible. Drivers along I-90, I-71, and I-77 should prepare for slick pavement and slower traffic during peak travel hours.
High temperatures will reach the 60s to low 70s before cooler air settles in tonight. Overnight lows will drop into the mid-30s to low 40s, creating a noticeably colder start to Saturday morning.
Dry weather returns Saturday with mild conditions and improving skies. Another chance for rain develops Sunday as the next system approaches, and additional updates may be issued as that system strengthens.
